Akhenaten (Sunday’s Best)

‘Akhenaten’ by Ghost Pal   (May 8, 2011)

Brooklyn native Oliver Ignatius leads his crew (one of the best I’ve seen) in a funky break down that marked a new sound in Ghost Pal’s career.  They’re a band that’s hard to ignore.  With so much heart and so much soul, nearly every track goes straight to my ipod.  Playing with vocal entrances/exists and working instrumental dynamics around them (or maybe even inside them), ‘Akhenaten’ is one of GP’s best tracks.
